Fiction Reading For 7th Grade Students

Fiction reading isn’t just about the story, it’s about understanding why the story carries such importance. By applying before, during and after reading skills, Grade 7 students can gain a deeper understanding of Textual evidence, make connections, ask questions, and gain a stronger appreciation for the literature they’re reading.

For Grade 7 students, fiction reading is often perplexing and overwhelming. They need to know the tools they can use to comprehend the text and gain a deeper insight and appreciation for the literature they are reading. In this lesson students will use the before, during and after reading skills to help them get the most out of their fiction reading experiences.
