There are 6 Units in each and they all follow the same format. It is easy to use and a proven method for improved reading!
- Each unit introduces 10 sight words that are broken up into 2 lists of 5.In between each list a short vowel, long vowel, consonant blend or vowel combination is introduced, depending on which part of the program you are working with. Sight Words and vowels are then reinforced through short sentences and revision activities that follow.

- Complete the corresponding activities and make sure that the student reads the words in the activities OUT LOUD as much as possible!
- To end the unit the student reads a short story and can color an illustration to the story. Encourage the student by making them aware that the story ONLY contains words they have learned and practiced.

- It is important to review the words from each list and make sure the student knows them before continuing on to the next list. Each part has a list of additional activities that can be used for further reinforcement
- Encouraging Independent ReadingBy empowering students to independently explore and practice their sight word vocabulary, educators can nurture a sense of ownership and confidence in their reading abilities. Encouraging independent reading not only allows students to apply their skills in a real-world context but also fosters a love for reading that extends beyond the classroom. As students engage with texts on their own, they have the opportunity to discover new words, reinforce familiar ones, and further enhance their overall reading proficiency. In cultivating a habit of independent reading, students can continue to build upon their sight word knowledge and strengthen their reading skills over time.
In conclusion, this innovative sight word curriculum offers a comprehensive approach to enhancing reading proficiency in students. As educators, it is our responsibility to provide the tools and resources necessary for our students to thrive. So, let’s commit to implementing this program and watch our students soar to new heights in their reading abilities. Remember, the journey to literacy begins with a single sight word.
